I wasn't happy with either the looks, or airflow of my DeepCool CC360 PC case, so I designed this replacement. No glue, or screws are required for assembly.
The front plate is made of 2 halves. Each of which is made of a 3 piece “sandwich” consisting of:
1) A base plate, that sits between the case, with chamfers to hide the sheet metal of the case
2) The front plate, that holds the mesh support plate in place
3) the mesh support plate, that provides rigidity to the mesh to prevent it from getting sucked into the fans
The “sandwich” is held together by 3 pins, holding the panel to the case by clipping into the original case holes. These pins are printed in 2 halves, which fit tightly into the holes in the back of the panel.
THE MESH SUPPORT PLATE MODEL HAS NO VENTILATION HOLES
To add ventilation holes to the support plate, slice the part without any top or bottom layers, this will give a slice of infill which allows air to pass through. For best results, choose a simple geometric infill pattern. Slice the part at 5-10% infill with at least a few infill walls for better stiffness. This makes it super easy to make your case unique.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
