Hobbit / LOTR - Sting replica 560mm

This is a work in progress release of my take on the short sword (dagger) Sting, from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. It's overall length is 560mm (22") with a blade of 380mm (15").

As of this release there are no elvish writing on either cross guard or blade, like it would be in the Hobbit. The handle should have a leaf-like pattern around it, but i ‘m not sure if this should be engraved in the handle or not so for now it’s left out.

I cut the blade in 3 sections before print to fit on the build plate of my mini. The model have 2 3mm tubes running through the blade, cross guard and handle to insert in my case carbon-fibre rods for better stability and ease of glueing the blade parts. The cross guard and pommel will need supports if you print them in one piece.

Included are a model file in Autodesk Fusion format.

Sometimes one is a little too fast, cross guard was missing the cutout for the handle. New updated version uploaded.

Alternate version of handle with engraved leaf-pattern added. You'll probably have to split this version to print it without a lot of support.
