I was looking to store a variety of hex bits and liked the way the honeycomb looked. I built this new version from scratch, adding dedicated locations for #8 countersunk wood screws. My printed versions fit together nicely when positioned one above the other (as in the photo) but don't fit together perfectly when they meet horizontally. It's close, but there is a gap of about half a wall thickness.
Good if you have a fair number of hex bits. I actually leave spaces between the bits so I can get them out easily.
Printed with PETG, 0.2mm layer.
The author remixed this model.
I built this new model from scratch, but copied the idea. I've changed the angle so the bits are flatter relative to the wall and have added specific screw locations.
