this is an adapter for cyclocomputer SIGMA BC 14.16 STS - maybe it works on some other models, but I have tested only this one
I made it so that I can have my cyclocomputer in the middle of my bike
it is made so that it fits ON the stem cap - you do not want to remove it - this is just an add on
it's a quick print
DESIGN DECISIONS
it is designed so that it is practicly invisible when the cyclocomputer is in the adapter
also, as this tipe of bike computer requires the connection to be made between the two pins - the design has a cutout so that you can place a bit of soldering wire that will make that connection
it was made for my GIANT Contend AR1 but it should fit on most stem caps that have the bolt that has tapered sides on the head (45°)
PRINT SETTINGS
supports are needed - print in orientation that the file is in
General settings:
0,15 mm layer height
10% Cubic infill - it should be enough
brim (if you think you need it)
2 perimeters
ASSEMBLY
1_Test the fit on the bike
Test it on your bike to make sure that everything fits
2_Solder the connection
Take a bit of the soldering wire, put it through the holes from the back - leave at least 3 mm of wire sticking from the holes on the upper side. Make sure that the wire is in one piece - there should be dirrect connection between the pins.
Solder the connections - don't worry if the solder is sticking out from the surface - you can smooth it with a little bit of sandpapper.
3_Unscrew the stem cap
Unscrew it and take the bolt out - do not remove the cap, this adapter is not a replacement for it - it is only an add on
4_Put the adapter on the stem cap
Put the adapter on the stem cap and screw the two pieces together firmly but not too tight
4_Test
Test if everything works as intended - the adapter has a classic twist lock
