This is the Version 3 of this model. Instead of being separate parts, the BL-Touch Mount has been integrated into the fan body. This improves the functionality of the BL-Touch, as the missing area of the bed mesh is now along the back of the bed instead of along the right side where the slope/sag from the single arm X Axis is greatest.

Additionally, the fan mounted Touch sensor was subject to skew from it's mounting position which could cause improper mesh data. The AIO mounting ensures that you can get the Sensor parallel to the bed surface. You will have to hold the fan at level when tightening the bolts.

Obtain before starting:

  1. A M3 screw set with lengths from 20mm-40mm. You will need 2 25-30mm screws (and some M3 washers)  for the new fan setup and a 25-30mm screw for the 4010 fan mount. (25 if using a M3 nut-cert in the hole; 30mm if you are using a M3 nut and washers to secure through the hole. Check images to see examples of both)
  2. A M3 screw set that contains 8mm m3 screws to mount the BL-Touch.
  3. (Optional) M3 nut inserts; see above.

To Use:

  1. Print at least the fanduct in PETG (or PLA to then later print a PETG version; PLA will warp the duct exits from the hotend heat over time). PLA is fine for the other parts, but I like the same look overall so I used PETG for all.
  2. Modify your wires as needed to accommodate the new BL-Touch position.
  3. Mount the BL-Touch to the Touch Gantry section of the the fan using the spacer between the fan and the mounting point.
  4. Loosely mount the fan in place.
  5. Run the cables through the cableway and attach the cableway to the fan. It is designed to still use the metal fan finger shield and fits over top.
  6. Making sure to push down on the left side of the fan duck and lifting up under neath the fan until the BL-Touch probe is parallel to the bed, tighten down all screws while holding it in position. If done right, the touch tip should be about 2mm to the left of the nozzle and about 38mm in front of the nozzle.
  7. Adjust your settings in your Klipper printer.cfg to reflect these changes.

For all data I provided on how to use the BL-Touch with this unit, please reference the V2 fan Body: https://www.printables.com/model/648457-tronxy-crux-1-bi-metal-heatbreak-fan-setup-wbl-tou

Also use the V2 fan body if you just need the stably mounted fan and will not be using a BL-Touch.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This is the Version 3 of this model (I made V2, original maker made V1). Instead of being separate parts, the BL-Touch Mount has been integrated into the fan body.
