There are zero cutters out there for an mmu on the k1, I have made my own mmu and tip forming was not working properly so I smashed this together. I have a bit of cad experience but not enough to refine/design this.
Used 3x3 heat inserts acquired from mircrocenter/adafruit to hold the bolts into the extruder adapter. Bought a bag of 101 springs and used some small yet stiff springs to return the shuttle after a cut.
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND WILL/MAY CHANGE.
This will also require a riser for the cable chain as well as something to push on the cutter. It will also require a macro or gcode to move the toolhead to a position to ram against the shuttle.
IF ANYONE CAN DESIGN SOMETHING BETTER PLEASE HELP OUT.
BOM:
#4 chisel tip hobby blades OR 9MM BLADES PER SMOLBOIS CUTTER ARM
x2 m3x3 heat inserts
a small section of ptfe tubing to go between the extruder and adapter block.
I'LL UPDATE SIZES OF PARTS USED WHEN I HAVE IT APART AGAIN, AS STATED THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. I ALSO HAVE NOT TESTED THIS OTHER THAN BENCH TESTING.
UPDATE: ADDED RUNOUUT SENSOR AS WELL AS CUTTER BELOW EXTRUDER, THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH OLDER STYLE NOZZLES NOT THE UNICORN SET UP.
SEE MY OTHER REMIXES TO FIND THE CUTTER ARM!
