Description

PDF

This 3D Model can get used add a 12cm silent fan vent exhaust to the Prusa XL exhaust cover.

It fits perfectly into any printer encasement wall (may it be cardboard, metall or plexiglass) and has a fan + a box for the active carbon filter. Whereas the filter can be either activated carbon pallets (with an additional filter) or "foam" (my preference - which is explained in the attached PDF).

The filter itself can easily be exchanged as it is kept inside via a magnet lock.

=== Addendum:

Attention:

  1. Make sure that they are cut to 12x12cm so that they do fit snug into the case so that no air can escape unfiltered
  2. Do not overdo the amount of carbon foam pads! If the fan isn't able to push out enough hot air, then the temperature in the case will rise and that will have an influence on the support stability while printing! I have found 2 or even 1 to be sufficient.
