My Voron 2.4 350mm weighs a lot and I wanted make it easier to work on them. I made these skirts to allow me to mount some DIN rails on the top panel so this is not a tophat mod, so don't print them looking for one. This is just for moviong the electronics.
I hadn't planned on publishing this so I'm sure it's not as good as something someone else could do and it's the first thing I've ever done of this magnitude so be kind ;-)
Basically you need to print 4 plates to cover the top of the printer. Decide if you want the DIN rails to run front to back or side to side. Mount them accordingly.
The DIN rail blocks have holes for heat set inserts that face the inside of the skirts, toward the other side. The pictures will demonstrate this.
I'm on the Voron Discord if you have any questions about this. Do let me know if you use it. It was originally just for myself but the discord asked about it, so here it is.
You will need 2 M3x16 screws for each DIN block, and 2 M3x8 screws to hold each half of the side skirts. You need 4 each of the Skirt A, and 4 of the Skirt B parts, and 4 of the DIN blocks.
The holes in the top of the skirts are for an eventual magnetic mounted panel to go on top of the skirts that I have yet to finish. I eventually want to get some fan mounts made for the mounting locations not holding the DIN blocks as well. I'll add those as separate projects when I get them made if any one wants them.
The skirts assume you have a top panel and 1mm foam tape on it. My picture of them doesn't have the back ones because I have not moved my spool to the side yet.
Thanks for your interest and consideration!
