This is a “mildly” overengineered remix of Whity's excellent “slightly” overengineered Expandable Steel Sheet Holder for the MK3/S print sheets. The goal of the remix is to completely remove all connector pins from the eject button mechanism parts.
It could just be me, but I find tiny pin connector inserts in 3D printed parts to be highly fragile. I have broken so many pins on the “arm” piece when trying to insert into the “slider” piece… Likewise for the connector pin on the button attaching to the push rod…
So I remixed this whole mechanism to operate on the seesaw principle, which is what the original connector pin-based approach is effectively doing.
I have also counter sunk the screw holes to accommodate a round head M3 screw so that it can sit flush such that it can be stacked. (counter sunk by 3.3mm)
Please note that every piece had been remixed with some modifications to support the seesaw mechanism – except for the only original piece from Whity's design is the “Sheet_holder_side_2-2_original.stl”. In other words, every piece is not compatible with the original design except for the “Sheet_holder_side_2-2_original.stl”.
See photo for assembly guide.
UPDATE:
10/3/2021 - Updated the “arm” to be more robust and shorten the “rod” to accommodate. (arm_v2, rod_v2)
