This is my self designed roller blind drive with NEMA17 stepper motor. There is belt drive with 1:2,5 ratio, and mechanism is mounted directly to the blind on opposite side to the manual drive. I suppose that your roller blinds are different but maybe in some part this project will be usable for you.

Few details:

  • big pulley is a parametric design of someone else - not mine
  • small pulley is standard 20T GT2 with 5 mm axle - I got one so this wasn't printed,
  • belt used for this is a closed loop one 6 mm width & 160 mm in lenght,
  • blind driver: here you need to check if it is corresponding with your blinds drum,
  • big pulled and driver are connected in my model by M3 bolt; in final version I applied also cyanoacrylate glue to join elements once forever :) - works perfect

Have fun! I am giving here also Fusion360 files so you can modify this as you want.

Electronics for this is under construction so project here will be updated with this in near future.
