An attempt at a full-phone-protection case for the Samsung S24 Ultra mobile phone. I find it odd that most cases for cell phones do nothing to protect the screen or cameras, especially as the screen and cameras are the most at-risk parts of the phone. The case is titanium, does it need protection? But glass, even very tough glass, can still get damaged.
This design has one significant limitation, the screen protector does not fold all the way to the back, which means it can get in the way especially when trying to use the phone as a phone while accessing something like the keypad. I'm working on a better hinge that will let the screen lay flat on the back while in use, but I don't have a good design yet. The other limitation is that the hinge is a little flaky since it's a hard PETG axle snapped into TPU, then rotating. It tends to work itself out. Still, not bad.
The screen protector is transparent. This example is PETG, I should be able to get it more transparent but it's good enough for now. It needs supports for the axles on the hinge itself. The fact that it is transparent means I can read the screen (although it's just a little fuzzy) while the cover is closed.
The hinge for the camera is a bit sensitive, an artifact of being very small. I considered print-in-place hinges but since it doesn't lay flat when open that might require supports and I was trying to avoid them to avoid marring the surface when it was closed. This example is PLA for now.
The main case is TPU, printed with supports. The supports can be a little challenging to remove, I usually clean it up by cutting the support off rather than trying to pull it off if it doesn't come right off (pulling it off can tear it).
I did want to acknowledge DprinterD's Samsung galaxy S24 Ultra phone model. It allowed me to boolean cut a space for the phone into the case in Fusion, and gave me locations for the cutouts. I did scale it a tiny bit (0.01% or similar very small amount) to account for pressing the phone into TPU, but the model is great.
