After using the Copper Spade Birdfeeder for a while, I found that all the seed was not accessible by the birds and that the remaining seed would begin to mold. My solution was to design a printed replacement for the cedar pyramid that distributed the seed. I also raised the metal part of the feeder by ¼" to give access to the seed all around the base of the feeder rather than just at the two small ports at the bottom. This allows access even when the seed has fallen below the level of the ports in the body of the feeder.
In use, the birds are now capable of getting to all the seeds and they completely empty the feeder easily.
