Cover for the Parkside Plunge Saw (PTSS1200D2) designed to cover the gap on the side and enhance airflow for the vacuum cleaner attachment. This design is composed of several parts that are meant to be printed as a single unit. The cover can be easily attached and detached using the same Allen key that comes with the saw, which is also used for changing the saw blade.
The images display the cover in a disassembled state; however, this disassembly was only for measurement purposes and to take photos. There is no need to disassemble the saw to install this cover.
The design ensures sufficient clearance for the saw blade bolt. Should there be any issues with clearance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Although the part is already engineered to exceed standard requirements, there might be room for further enhancements. Initial attempts to print this part with small clips proved too fragile, leading to this more durable design.
For optimal printing results, use a layer height of 0.2mm. Variable layer height is not recommended as it may cause the inner part to bind, preventing the cover from opening after printing.
A brief instructional video will be provided soon, though it has not been completed yet.
