Frame and pod design for a high speed racing drone. Full drone build details can be found on Rotorbuilds
Without the outriggers the arms oscillate and the PID controller loses its mind. they stabilized it enough where it flies stable now.
This is not designed to handle many crashes, but is designed to be very fast. new pilots beware (the camera mount does not allow for very low camera angles either).
I have printed/assembled/flown the 'spar light' frame, and I beefed up the center plate slightly for the 'spar robust' design. battery strap goes under 4-1 ESC/FC stack. the bumps on the ‘spar light’ are to help the battery clear the bolt heads.
all bolt holes are 6mm (with countersinks) so motor bolts should be 7.5-8mm long.
FRAME
for printing I used PLA, 4 wall thickness, 50% cubic infill.
POD
TPU, 100% infill.
