This is a 3D printed shock absorber I made for a future 1:5 scale RC car. the travel is about 40mm. It uses mineral oil (baby oil) as a working fluid and uses a M6x80 bolt with the head cut of and threads cut on the secound end as the piston rod. You can try all sorts of working fluid, as long your print material and O rings are compatible.
You will need two ID 21x2mm O rings and one ID 6x4mm O ring per shock.
You will need to grind in the thread of the printed parts with some scouring agent (Scheuermilch) to make them screw smoothly.
