I sought to harness the capabilities of the Goliath, EBB 1.2, and Vz-Hextrudort within a heated chamber, yet my quest for suitable solutions proved challenging. The only viable option I found was the full aluminum offering from Vzbot. However, it lacked an integrated tension system and required an external fan. Undeterred, I took matters into my own hands, deciding to modify the EVA toolhead, resulting in the creation of this innovative solution.
This whole contraption is meant for a heated chamber, so I needed to adjust the EVA3 mount to include an aluminum plate so the cooling from the Vz-Hextrudort would work with the short Goliath. Also, the Vz-Hextrudort now cools the tool-board and the back of the stepper through the extra aluminum plate with some heat-conductive mat
I printed my parts in PET-CF for temperature resistance.
As for assembly, please follow the STEP file. This adjusted EVA is meant to work with the standard 5xM3 inserts.
The hotend is a bit shorter, so you gain some extra height; keep in mind that now other fan bottoms will not fit anymore.
Keep in mind that this model requires 2 CNC'ed plates to function correctly!
The author remixed this model.
Aluminum plate compatibility. Or used in the assembly.
