Parts needed for the AcuRite 606TX:

1x RotateExtrudeApproach-Top.stl

5x RotateExtrudeApproach-Middle.stl

1x RotateExtrudeApproach-BottomOnly.stl

Hardware needed:

12x M3-0.5 heat set inserts

12x M3x8 or M3x10 socket cap screws

2x M3x20 socket cap screws (for the base)

Assembly:

Once the inserts are in, assemble starting from the closed top piece, then working down towards the end. Once all layers are secure, slide the sensor in so the sides of the sensor are touching the sides with the last 2 heat set inserts. Then you can place the bottom over the sensor and use the long M3 screws to tighten things up. Tighten just enough to not warp the bottom

Print Settings:

Make sure to use white PETG or else it defeats the purpose! Other materials may work but PETG is the best for outdoor use. Whatever it is, it needs to be white to reflect the sun!

  • 3 perimeters
  • 20-25% Infill
  • Supports on buildplate @ 20 degrees

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • Added a hanging loop to RotateExtrudeApproach-Top.stl
  • Split the combined RotateExtrudeApproach-Bottom.stl to include just the base in my upload
