ZWO Seestar S50 Filter Ring with M48 threads on them to attach any 2" filter to your ZWO Seestar. Yes, the Seestar comes with an integrated filter wheel, but what if you want to attach your own filters to it?
I tested this successfully with some GSO filters that I have laying around and some Askar filters. This should work with any filter that has an M48x0.75 thread on it. Always place the filter ring with the ears facing out, so that you can gently remove it.
Please note, that some filters are kinda weird with threads. I've had some “standard” adapters not fit with some of the more expensive Baader filters. I don't know if it's the adapter's fault or the filter's fault.
I recommend printing in PETG at a minimum to ensure durability of the threads. If you're going to use ABS, be sure to scale to compensate for shrinkage—as well as ASA. I wouldn't recommend printing with any composite (CF) filaments due to the threads being on the finer side.
Print at 0.15mm layer heights or finer. I've tried it with 0.20mm, and though it works—I just like the smoothness of the finer threads.
Print as oriented, no supports.
