This camera mount attaches the the gantry on the right or left side to support a camera. You could either mount it low as I am here, or high for a top-down view, but either way it will not interfere with the print head or gantry movement.
I'm using a cheap $13 USB camera from Amazon in these pictures. I deliberately made the arm extend back out from the printer a few inches to improve the camera's depth of field (focus) in the print area.
In version 2 I added an extension arm which can be attached using either a 3D printed nut and bolt, or a metal one if desired.
