My goal was to design a slim and simple screwdriver handle that would accept a locking bit holder that is completely friction fit and requires no supports to print.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Print with a non-brittle material. (I got away with using PETG)
  2. Position the handle upright on the build plate as shown in the 4th picture.
  3. Print with 6 wall loops using a 0.4mm nozzle or enough wall loops for the top section to be solid.
  4. Infill is personal preference as it will only be present in the bottom of the handle.
    • To help balance weight use between 40-75% infill
  5. Scale between 97-103% until the insert can be slotted snuggly. Use heat as necessary.
    • This is a friction fit model so the insert should be tight but should not have to be glued.
  6. A brim or bed glue may help with bed adhesion but with Bambu Lab's high temp bed with PETG this is no problem.

ADDITIONAL PARTS:

  1. Milwaukee Impact Locking Bit Holder (Part No. 48-32-4531)
    • OPTIONAL: This part is optional but is the part this model was designed around. Any 1/4in bit or bit holder should work.
