The spool holder included in the LACK table enclosure parts was not working for me at all. My spools kept jumping off the rollers and causing a jam. So I created this alternative. It does make a little bit of noise. It works well, but could use some fine tuning. You may see a Mark 3 show up here when I get around to it. It's functional, it just makes some noise.
If the print head is parked more then a few inches above the bed from the last print, I yank down some filament through the hole into the enclosure. The print head sometimes thinks it's jammed if it tries to dispense filament by pulling on it with the z-drive. I have had zero problems with the extruder pulling on the filament. So once a print gets underway, this spool holder has been flawless for me.
