My daughter was almost hit by a car last year trick or treating and the only thing that saved her was a pumpkin pale that had a flashlight in it. It was early in the night and as she collected more candy, the pale showed less light, so I came up with this solution for this year. After seeing the contest, I knew this would be a perfect addition.
Yes, this has a face as seen in the pictures! It's subtle and can be colored in if you desire.
This was designed in Fusion 360 and I've gone through a couple of iterations to ensure the flashlight illuminates the pumpkin with candy in it.
This is plenty big enough to fill with lots of candy and keeps your kids safe by keeping them visible. It's also a great conversation piece!
Requires a flashlight that is 30mm or smaller to fit in the holder.
I do my best to design my prints with no supports. This is no exception.
.2mm layer height

PLA or PETG work great. It MUST be translucent in order for the light to work!
If using a Prusa MK3s, you can scale this up 120% to use the maximum print size. Takes about 21 hours to print and uses very little plastic for its size. (~250g)
