Heavy duty wall hanger. Uses a concealed dovetail to screw onto the wall. The wall mount has two points to screw onto the wall. The cover and hanger slide onto the wall mount dovetails and lock in place. To assemble, mount the wall mount to the wall, insert the hanger piece into the mount cover from the back and then slide them onto the wall mount dovetails. The small cover piece on the bottom is purely aesthetic. It can be glued or screwed into place with M2 screws.
Tolerances are set at .25mm in the model. If you are finding the fitment too tight, a couple of settings to check (in Cura at least) are ‘Slicing Tolerance → Exclusive’ and ‘Wall Ordering → Outside to Inside’.
Printing:
I used PLA for the cover and hook and PETG for the wall mount, but you could use PLA for the wall mount also. Supports aren't needed for any of the pieces.
Print the hanger piece on its side, with the ears facing the buildplate. After printing, there is a small piece of sacrificial filament to cut off. This is there to provide better bed adhesion for the dovetail section which is touching the buildplate. When slicing, ensure the slicer hasn't left this piece out.
Print the mount cover lying down on its largest face.
Print the wall mount standing up on the end that doesn't have screw holes in it. The points of the teardrop counterbores should be facing up.
Use more walls for better strength. I printed with 4 walls (0.4mm nozzle) and 15% gyroid infill.
