This model has two files/parts. The mount that is screwed onto the TBS Source One V5 frame using the four existing m3 screws, and the case for the Action Cam itself, which can be easily slid on and off the ActionCam while still having a secure fit. These two parts interlock in a sort of hinge mechanism which requires 3 additional non-3D printed parts. These are:
- 1x 25 mm or longer m3 screw
- 1x m3 nut
- 1x m3 nut which is used to tighten the mechanism(for this a wing nut is recommended as it is easy to tighten and loosen in the field.)
Assembly:
- Print both parts with 100% infill (lower infill can be used for less weight, but comes at the cost of strength) and 3 perimeters.
- Use a soldering iron to push the normal m3 nut into the corresponding hole.
- Push the mount and case together so that the pivot mechanism interlocks, making sure that the holes are aligned for the screw to go through.
- Screw in 25 mm m3 screw all the way.
- Screw on the wingnut.
- Losen the wing nut to adjust the angle of the Action Cam and then re-tighten it to secure it for flight.
