Model of the catalytic domain from the Trichoderma reesei cellulase highlighting the long groove that is form-fitted to bind to the cellulose chain. Protein was rendered as surface, then sliced in half to expose the binding groove. Inspired by the excellent PDB101 article on Cellulases and Bioenergy.
