Model of the catalytic domain from the  Trichoderma reesei cellulase highlighting the long groove that is form-fitted to bind to the cellulose chain. Protein was rendered as surface, then sliced in half to expose the binding groove. Inspired by the excellent PDB101 article on Cellulases and Bioenergy

Scale At Given Print Units: 250x 

Pre- and Postprocessing Instructions 

Printed in PLA at 0.2 resolution with 2 wall lines and 5% infill for the protein model; TPU at 0.2 resolution with 2 wall lines and 50% infill for the ligand. Supports are required. Magnet holes were added in PrusaSlicer and then glued after the printing was finished.
