Modular Buildings Starter Kit - 23Fab

Introducing the 23Fab modular building starter kit (Retail/Commercial district).

This modular set is designed for 1/64 scale vehicles allows for multiple combinations and endless expandability with future releases.

To begin with this starter kit includes the standard building base, a footpath and two external corner footpaths. All can be connected using the dog bone joints. The building walls stack onto the building base and each other to allow for multi-story buildings. Future releases will include awnings and balconies. Topping it all off with the roof piece.

The wall pieces are pre-supported that are designed to peel off easily post printing. The walls include a brick style, horizontal lines and a solid blank wall piece intended for use with the PrucaSlicer Fuzzy skin function to produce a “Stucco” type finish.

The roof pieces include three skins: Ribbed, corrugated iron and shingle/tile, intended to be glue on. The slanted roof piece also includes three front panels: Single signage panel, Dual signage panel including a peg hole, and a dual triple window panel again including a peg hole. The peg hole allows the mounting of a included sign. Future releases will include more signs and props, i.e. an AC unit.

Three doors and three windows are included. These are intended to be glued on, however double-sided tape will allow for the set to be reconfigured. Many more will be available in future releases.

Three props to sit in the footpath recess are included: a flag sign, a rubbish/trash bin and a New Zealand style Post box. Many more will be available in future releases.

To demonstrate the modularity, in this Starter Kit alone, based on one of the walls, roof skins, roof panels, one window and one door, the potential number of combinations is 3003. Obviously you can have multiple windows and doors, different signage, multiple stories and different colours/materials to create exponentially more variations, even before we take in to consideration future sets.

I prefer not to recommend print settings as we all should know our own printers well enough to get by, however for smaller items and better detail I prefer lower layer heights like 0.8, nothing in this kit requires supports, the walls are pre-supported which are easily removed, I add the text on the flags and signs in the PrusaSlicer; However this can be painted on orby way of stickers or glue.

I have a lot of related and compatible designs ready to be released as this store grows. Future releases will include residential district and industrial district kits, expanded footpath tiles, props/decorations, along with larger more interactable kits.
