Makita 3-1/4" Planer Blade Setup Guide

Had an older used Makita electric planer where the blades were set improperly. 

Made a guide similar to the ones out there to help align them. 

2 version . One is just main box as a solid object with stop (what most people will probably need/use) The other has a removable stop. I'm not fully sure of its purpose is but its there if needed. The screw holes are designed for m3 screws self threading. 

How to use…

2 blades in the planer and each blade has 3 components. 

• blade 
• adjust plate
• drum plate (not needed for blade alignment)

1. place the thin blade against the stop/ledge
2. place the adjust plate on the blade
3. loosen the screws on the adjust plate and slide the back up against the guide box. When its against the back of the box, then it is square and at the right distance.
4. tighten up screws on the adjust plate and re-install everything.
