This is my take on the infamous dice dagger that's been floating around the 3d print model repositories.

I liked all the dice daggers that I've seen on etsy and elsewhere and I thought I'd bone up on my fusion skills and see what I could come up with.

Ultimately I wanted  the dagger/sword to look like something a nobleman would carry.

For printing, if there is an overhang, use supports.  I've had the best luck with build plate supports where necessary.

If you make this:

  • build the blade flat and diagonal across the build plate as one piece (if it fits) (build plate supports for the groove along the side)
  • scabbard is split in half at the mid point.  Build those vertically (build plate supports)  Glue together with those tiny pins.
  • build the handle and the hilt vertically
  • the tang is glued into the sword, hilt, handle and pommel so that the overall model is strong
  • the scabbard will be loose.  I embedded strips of black duct tape to the inside of the scabbard to remove some of the slop

Metallic silk PLA was used for the blade and pommel.  …thought the blade turned out pretty good too!
