I designed this heart-patterned soap dish to keep soap dry and add a decorative touch to any bathroom. It’s the perfect size for standard soaps and also doubles as a drying tray for items like cotton pads. The heart-shaped cutouts allow water to drain easily, keeping your soap firm and lasting longer.
The dish has an 85mm inner diameter, a 99mm outer diameter, and stands 18mm high—ideal dimensions for most bars of soap.
In the files section, you’ll find PrusaSlicer example projects to kickstart your print settings. For the best results, here are my print recommendations:
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Orientation | Print with the bottom on the bed |
| Nozzle Size | 0.4mm recommended |
| Layer Height | 0.2mm |
| Filament Materials | PLA or PETG, depending on usage |
| Perimeters | 2 to 3 for extra sturdiness |
| Supports | None required |
For durability, PETG is excellent, especially if your soap dish will stay in a humid environment. PLA is also suitable, especially for decorative use or lighter-duty storage like cotton pads. In the photos, I've printed the dish in Prusament PLA Galaxy Silver, which gives it a metallic sparkle that stands out beautifully in any setting.
These dimensions are balanced to fit most soap bars snugly while keeping them elevated and dry.
