The rose part must be printed in “Vase Mode” found under print settings

The rose and led holder are both in white PLA at 0.15

The stem was printed in green PLA at 0.15 (Print this part slow as it can easily fall while printing)

Both base parts were printed at 0.2 with black PETG

Materials

  • 2 5mm LEDs any color
  • Rocker 2 way switch Amazon
  • USB to female pin cable Amazon OR sacrificial USB cable OR different power source
  • 2 wires preferably green at least 25cm
  • 1 jumper wire any length and color
  • 100 Ohm resistor(depending on power source) 

Assembly

  1. insert both LEDs into the holes in the LED holder
  2. solder the leads of the LEDs together (+ to + and - to -) 
  3. Solder wires to the LEDs and clip the LED leads
  4. Cover the connections with Electrical tape or heat shrink to prevent a short
  5. feed the wires through the hole in the top of the stem
  6. Glue the LED holder to the Rose(it only fits in one orientation)
  7. align the stem to the rose and glue 
  8. run the wires through the hole in the top of the base
  9. solder the resistor to one of the wires inside of the base
  10. insert the switch into the hole on the top of the base
  11. solder the other side of the resistor to one side of the switch
  12. Solder the other side of the switch to the jumper cable
  13. Run the usb cable through the opening on the side of the base
    1. for the sacrificial usb cable, cut one end off and solder jumper wires to the outputs
    2. figure out which line is ground and 5v
  14. attach the jumper to either 5v or ground
  15. attach the other wire from the rose to the other 
  16. opt: add weight to the bottom half of the base
  17. combine the base pieces
