This is a bracket designed for connecting two pieces of aluminum extrusion at a 45° angle. Originally designed for 1515, 1530, or 3030 profile, but I believe it should also work for 4040, 4080, and 8080, based on limited testing. Requires an M4x24mm screw and M4 nut.
This is a two-part print. Both pieces will print with no support on either flat edge. I've required no brim, but if you have poor adhesion you may need a brim on the smaller of the two pieces.
Finished part measures about 39mm x 26mm x 23mm.
I printed on a Bambu P1S with a .4mm nozzle at .2mm layer height in Bambu PLA Tough filament with 3 walls and 15% infill. I found this to be very strong for my needs, but heavier loads may require more infill, different filament, etc.
The filament and settings that you use will obviously determine the strength of the part. Because of that, I can make no guarantees about the structural integrity or load bearing capacity. I recommend not using this for any mission critical or overhead loads, or anything where part failure could result in damage or injury. I'm using these pieces on a flight sim rig and have had no failures or problems, myself.
I have provided a STEP file for remixing.
