Here is my SlowStick with the carbon fiber arrows. One of my first planes was the original SlowStick many years ago. Your twin arrow SlowStick got me interested in them again. You also got me into 3D printing. I now have two Creality printers and one Bambu printer. I also make Eclipson 3D planes. The plane in the picture has DJI FPV gear. I use AutoDesk Fusion to make my own simple parts. Thanks, Dave, for pointing me in this direction.

I'm currently printing and selecting parts from my "junk" and none of my motors will fit. Would it be possible to get a motor mount as a solid type file? This would make doing my own soooo much easier. thanx

I download already. So good for this model. If posible do you can update this model add the Ailerons and adjust the angle of the aircraft's wings to be almost straight. Can do please?

@Qrome Why you don't like when add the ailerons ?

@pong19021_750410 it honestly isn't as responsive in the roll. I actually have a couple of Slow Sticks with ailerons, but I don't enjoy them like the original.

Hi, I'm currently in the making and its hard to find matching arrows here in my country (EU). I only found thinner ones and now I'm printing sleeves to put them between arrows and parts.

Maybe would be great to have alternate parts with 8(8.2)mm diameter holes, so we can buy standard 8mm carbon tubes and use them instead of arrows? Technically, we can drill holes, but they can be crocked and drilling is unnecessary stress for 3D printed parts.

Thank you.

Thank you for your design. The problem with the carbon tubes that are not standard and I cannot import arrows.. The closes carbon tube I found is 8mm OD 1000mm long, will it tight fit or I will have to drill a bigger holes?

I finished mine over Thanksgiving and did the maiden flight today. It flew great! I built a 3s 4200mah LiOn pack and was able to fly for 20 minutes easily. Now I need to mount my Vista unit and fly it FPV.

I got the bi-plane built and did first flight. Where did you balance yours? I balanced on the third fold from front on the bottom wing. I'm using foam board wings. I'm thinking it might be a little far back, but it flew ok, just a bit pitch touchy. I printed the blue parts from PC and the yellow parts from ASA. Was going for light and strong. I had planned on doing it all in PC, but the wing struts kept warping off the bed so I switched to ASA. PC is hard to print. This color scheme is an homage to my hog-bipe I built 22 years ago.

@Qrome thanks, I appreciate it! That's about where I balanced it. I have it balanced 75 mm back from LE on top wing. I have since changed the motor to a 3536 1000kv and an 11x5 prop. It gave me the nose weight I needed and also the power it needed. Those 2 wings are draggy. I can now cruise just below half throttle and only pull about 4 amps and it will get up and go if I need it to. The cruise speed is 13mph lol.
Let me know if you ever make the bolt on wings for the biplane. I'll give you $5 to never have to rubber band the wings on again haha

@AnthonyH_1935161 Hahah, yeah, I will let you know. The bolt on wings are so much nicer.

This looks super cool. Any wing build tutorial by chance? (edited)

@Munark_329339 Yeah, I will do a video on building the wing. Thanks!

Parts have a great design and printed great with the settings Qrome suggested. I printed both the standard and biplane parts. I used PETG-CF on the dark parts, ASA on the red parts and TPU on the tires. Bravo to Qrome! This is why I got a 3D printer. My printer is a Qidi Q1 Pro. I created a receiver and GPS holder for this design with the two arrow shafts. See here: https://www.printables.com/model/870676-receiver-and-gps-mount (edited)

First flight planned for this weekend! This was a fun build. The design and part recommendations from @Qrome are perfect. I designed some of my own mounts for parts I already had including the FC, VTX, camera and landing gear but everything else is to spec. Getting all my controls and checklists ready!

@Matt_1730303 awesome! Thanks for sharing your build. I like the mounts you made for the FC and camera servo.

Getting started on my build including designing a mount for the SpeedyBee F405 Wing FC.

@Matt_1730303 I have one of those FC's waiting to be used. Can you share your mount design with me>

@RayAnderson_1841828 Hi Ray. I'm working on a newer version with a little better protection, but this one works: https://www.printables.com/@MattDwyer_1730303

Hi, The Wing PDF hasn't got any scale or dimensions. It also needs to be tiled for A4 printing.
A build manual with dimensions and spacing of components and CG would also be extremely helpful

@Darren5566_394544 If you open the pdf file in Adobe reader you can print the file in several A4 choosing the poster mode in the printing .

@Darren5566_394544 I always balance my Slow Stick at the highest point of the wing.
