Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

After enabling the filament cutting function of the MMU3, the blades fell out soon after. It seems the forces on the blades is too high causing the back side of the blades to shave away plastic from the original selector (see image).

I printed a new part, but to prevent this from happening again I added holes to receive metal pins to support the blades. For the metal pins, I cut pieces of a ~1.5mm nail, and made them a bit on the shorter side to allow the original blade holder to still exert force on the blades.

Changes

  • Added 4 holes receiving 2mm diameter, ~10mm long metal pins to prevent the blades from damaging the selector
  • Made larger chamfer (~3mm) on the hole that receives filament tips from the idler to prevent curly filament tips from jamming
