I recently bought an "Aero Speed" brand jump rope from Buddy Lee but found fitting the length of the “rope” difficult, as it requires loosening two set screws and then cutting the rope shorter with wire cutters. So I made this small extension of the rope attachment that allows you to pull the rope through a hole in the fitting and secure it with one of the spare set screws as you would normally secure the rope itself.

It's designed to be used while jumping, giving you the proper feel of whether the length suits you. Therefore I recommend you print it lying on its side (with one hole pointing each way) with supports. That way you get all of the strength of the print in the direction the rope pulls. Printing the part standing will most likely result in it snapping during your first jump.

After you've figured out the ideal length of the rope, simply mark the rope where the real attachment starts (just after the rings and the swivel) and make your single cut with the bolt cutters. You can now attach the rope the usual way.

I hope you find this part useful. Happy jumping :)
