What is this?

We all love our honeycomb storage walls! (credits to RostaP )

But there is one main drawback, that once the insert being inserted, they hardly can be removed.

So I created an easy swappable insert system, that is still tool-free.

You can literaly change the insert and the position within seconds!

Mechanism:

Reality:

Whats needed?

You need at least one "QuickFix base" part and one insert of your choice (see at the bottom).

For convenience I designed a “QuickFix remover”.

How to print it?

The parts being designed in with 3 things in mind:

Easy, fast and material saving.

You can use any material (like PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, etc).

I suggest to print with :

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • at least 2 walls (I use 3 as standard, you can use more if you need additional strenght)
  • 4-5 bottom and 4-5 top layers (more if you need additional strenght)
  • ~25% infill

My settings:

How to use it?

Put the "QuickFix base" into your HSW.

Attach your desired insert part.

Done.

How to remove it?

Pull off your insert part.

Take the QuickFix remover and insert it into the “QuickFix base”.

Rotate it 30° and pull out the "QuickFix base".

Done.

Now you can reuse the “QuickFix base” and put it to a different location.

Its magic! :)

What inserts do you have?

This system starts with a model count of 559 parts!

There are hooks, boxes, cylindrical boxes, eylets, hangers and tool holders with holes (for screwdrivers etc.) in a big variety of sizes.

Plus mounts for metrical M3-M5 screws, so everyone can screw their individual solutions to it.

So I hope most of you should already find many inserts that will suit your needs  :)

You are missing something and you want to have the CAD files to create something new?

I am not open to share my CAD files, because I put a lot of work and testing into the system before publishing it.

From the rare idea to a lot of tests with different prototypes to checking the usability, reliability and strenght tests it was litterally weeks of work time. (exporting the .stls already took ~2h)

So I would like to have the credits for this system and my work but also to maintain a certain standard of quality.

But there is hope ;)

Why dont you simply write me a comment about your needs here?!

I am very open in publishing more insert modules and inserts that you request - so everyone can benefit from the new insert part and get it from one location instead of “all over the place” on printables or some “hidden parts” that you guys may only create for yourself :)

Whats next?

Print it. Test it. Enjoy it :)
