This is the design for a dry box meant to hold 3d printer filament spools up to 1Kg.
The actual box shouldn't matter too much as long as you find one that can actually hold your spools.
You should take into consideration that depending on the size of the center hole of your spool you might need a bit more vertical clearance so the spool won't actually touch the bottom.
You'll need to print 2x Spindle Plug, 1x Spindle Connector and 1x Tube Port for each dry box that you want to make.
I've created a somewhat long-winded video explaining how to put everything together: https://youtu.be/aVk4rTe3jR4
The plastic box I'm using is one from GreatPlastic with number 1314 but it's not available for sale online and I doubt you can find it outside of Spain. But any box with an inner size of at least 20.5cmx22cm and a height of 10cm should do. The only printed piece that is specific for the box I'm using is the "Tube Connector" which is made for a box with a height of 10.5cm (10-11cm is probably good too).if anyone needs a different size the Fusion360 design files are included for download too. (Or if you ask nicely I might adjust it for you ;-) )
Printer Brand: Prusa
Printer: i3 MK3
Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 20%
Notes:
Just printed it with Prusa's default 0.2mm speed setting. The pieces are pretty simple so the settings shouldn't matter too much. The print does need a bit of bridging but it's so little you should be able to print it without any supports.
