SIMPLE YET ELEGANT!!! I did not want to use the original IKEA mounting brackets.....long story! Regardless, I developed my own mounting bracket that uses two drywall screws (or similar) and are countersunk into the bracket. The original SKADIS mounting bolts can be used as well as any M4 bolt and washer as needed. The bracket is designed to be used with M4 heat set inserts. I found it easiest to use the center hole to mark the mounting location before permanently setting the heat insert. For rigidity, I did print this at 100% infill.

So the long story, in the shortest amount of words possible….I wanted the SKADIS to mount flush with my workbench top with the excess of the SKADIS slid behind the tall locker cabinet. I was using a slat wall before and all was well and fine until I had internet issues and Spectrum wanted to check the incoming line, which was behind the slat wall. Needless to say it took a lot of time and effort to remove the slat wall for them to check the wiring. After constant issues with my ISP and them wanting to inspect that line EVERY TIME they came out, I decided to go this route. The right panel can easily be removed while still sitting flush with my work surface AND allowing the excess SKADIS on the left being slid behind the locker cabinet. Wow….that was a lot! Anyway, it was well worth the effort. Now that this project is complete I guarantee you that my ongoing internet issues (we are talking years) are going to be miraculously resolved.

**This bracket sets 17mm off of the wall. I can easily adjust this and upload additional depths if there is enough demand.
