I made this mount system based on the Maxwell Kinamatic bed system. All three bearings point to the center of the bed. By doing this, as the bed expands, it expands out from the center keeping the bed in place.
This uses cheap MGN9 linerar rails. Quality does not matter here as the bed expands very little and so each rail will see movement of less than .5mm.
Included are Top plates. These can be printed in ABS or other material, but they are best used as a template to drill the hole in the top of the rail. The hole is then tapped to accept a 3mm SHC screw. This can also be used as a template to cut parts from aluminum or G10. As the GTP of ABS is 100C, they may get soft if used to mount the bed. Or print them in a material with a higher GTP.
This work on all 250mm, 300mm, and 350mm beds.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
