Compared to the options I found here and tried out, I wanted:
So I made these. First the big one which now is holding chili pepper branches to my wall, and then the small one which probably would have been plenty all along.
I've mounted them with nano gel tape to my wall and if anything I worry about getting them off again without hurting the paint.
They close very well, but not so tight that you'll have to struggle to open them.
The joint tolerance is loose enough (0.5mm) that I suspect nobody will have issues with it.
I printed mine on an Ender 3v2, 0.2mm layer height, 5 layer shell on all sides and lightning infill.
The flat sides are 2mm thick, so if you want to add something like a leaf model (seems popular here) to whatever you feel is the top, it should be super easy to combine in the slicer or glue on afterwards.
They could probably hold cables and the like too, but I haven't tested anything but plants.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
