I put my MK4 on a shelf, so high up that the LCD cover obscures the temperature readouts in the footer on the screen. I hacked this remix together in lisscad to solve that problem.

Non-printed parts needed for assembly: 2 × M3 square nuts and 2 × M3x6mm countersunk bolts. (You can use spares from the MK4 kit; the bolt don’t really need to have conical heads.)

Please note that if you angle the screen down, it will go below the level of the printer’s feet. Adjust screw tension to allow you to raise the screen back up as needed for service. Also note that in the raised position, the screen will extend further on the y axis than it would with the original parts.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This remix adds bolted joints and some extra material to xlcd-support-left-R3.stl and xlcd-support-right-R3.stl. Each of the two original parts is thereby split in two.
