My gaming PC makes the room it lives in very hot after a while and I wanted to do something about it. I had some extra 200mm fans laying around from on old PC build so I found THIS MODEL on Thingiverse to make a stand for it and got a PC fan to USB cable with an on/off switch. It worked, but I thought I could do better so I created this model. My PC is only about 3-4 ft from the doorway so the idea here is that the fan moves the top exhaust heat out of the room. It seems to have actually made a difference, too.

What you will need:

  • 2 of this model
  • 2 of the curved pieces from the Thingiverse link above
  • either 2 35mm M4 screws (they will thread the mounting holes for a tight fit) or 2 35mm M3 screws with a nut
  • a PC fan to USB cable
  • a 200mm PC fan
  • (optional) a USB on/off switch and a free USB port to power this

To install, take the top grille off of your Corsair 7000D case, put the angled part on the angle of the case that goes down to the mesh over the fans, then snap the top grille on to hold it in place.

I don't know if anyone will find this useful, but here it is anyway.
