This model consists of a Benchy, and some CC licensed arms/legs. The arms were already rigged up for posing but i had to do the legs. I'm aware the wrist looks weird in the 3d model, it's not as bad once printed, i really didn't want to spend too long on something originally intended as a shitpost. Yes it's a big file, he has ~800000 of the purest most high quality triangles.

Recommended print settings:

  • Print big. at least 15cm height minimum. I made the mistake of scaling to 10cm height and the fingers are very easily broken off, especially if removing supports (as you can see in the photos).
  • Resin print. Probably. I can't test, but if you want a small one, then use a resin printer.
  • Use a regional modifier on it's ass cheeks/butt of the benchy and set a higher infil in this region because it definitely benefits from having some extra weight. Whilst it can support itself if left alone, it's still slightly front heavy by default and a breeze could knock it over, so put more junk in his trunk.
  • Alternatively, pause while printing and fill his ass cavity with sand or something
  • If you really wanted, use a cube negative modifier to carve out a perfect flat edge from his ass/feet so he'll wobbly a bit less and sit better on the edges of your desk or whatever. But if you do that, then definitely also do the regional infil modifier for more weight. or just print bigger

In the photos, i used a 0.4 nozzle and standard 0.2mm layer height with Sunlu's Meta PLA

CC License Attribution Law Time. The Legs/Arms share the same CC rules that i'm giving to this model, as such i'd like to thank and source the following:

mrgyarmati - For the arms

Frank Buster Law - For the legs

Me lol - for rigging the legs, combining all the elements and animating/posing

And r/CursedBenchies - for allowing and encouraging this stupid idea to come into being
