'Fancy' Hobo fishing rod

Though mainly a 'see if I can pull this off'-project, it turned out to work just fine. As part of the project, I've also made my first video to show how it works. Have a look: 

please note I've also included a handle-free top that you can use if the handle-top variant should give you any trouble (instead of having to print out an entirely new reel from one of my other variants).

Also note - and this is important - that the 'Top.stl' is a print-in-place model with an inside movable part. The tolerance is tight, and on a couple of my test prints the part looked as if it had melted somewhat together. I had to use quite a bit of force to loosen the parts and make them work, so ensure your printer is calibrated right :-). With this in mind I suggest you print this part first, so if it fails, at least you have not spent filament on the other parts :-)

What is a Hobo reel?

Hand reels (also known as Hobo reels) are simple but very compact alternatives to normal fishing rods. You won't be able to cast as far or feel/snag the fish as easily as with a normal rod, but they are lightweight and take very little space in your backpack, and come with compartments inside to store lures and floats.
