I have this desk fan in my office and am thoroughly impressed by the simplicity of the hinge and base. I removed the bottom hinge from the shroud and attached it to the holder. With the base kept the same they interface together and make a very sturdy and simple stand. I have made a cut-out in the holder that allows for the Bixby and Volume buttons not to be pressed while the phone is in place. There is also a cutout for access to the charge port. A single M6 x 30 screw and bolt is all that is needed to join the holder and base together. This has allowed me to have a touch-input device for my printers that I can move around the house or keep on my desk for quick temperature changes and axis changes.
