A top-loading slim profile wall mount for a Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet so it can be used as a home automation dashboard.

Printed using the settings of the original author on an Ender 3 V2 using 128g of Sunlu Black PLA.

A USB cable can be found here. I used the 2Pin Type-C EK version.

To install:

  • Mount the left piece to the wall and route the USB cable.
  • Slide the tablet in from the top and connect the USB connector.
  • Slide the right piece behind the tablet and connect to the left piece.
  • Slide the top piece down behind the tablet and connect to the left and right pieces.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This is a remix of the Medium Printer - Two Parts models. It is specifically designed to fit into a space where there is not sufficient room on either side to insert the tablet from the side after mounting to the wall. The top of parts A and B is removed to form a third part that can be printed at a 45 degree angle to fit the printer bed. The tablet then slides in from the top rather than the side.

Other notable changes:

  • Holes were added for the speakers, mic, volume, and power buttons.
  • Latches were removed. The top piece now holds the left and right pieces in place.
  • Size of the male connectors was reduced slightly--would not fit together otherwise.
