2kg spool holder for prusa

I needed a larger diameter version of the Prusa spool holder for 2kg spools.

It now accepts spools with 30cm diameter & 10cm width.

The Original STEP file included in the MK4 version is in bad shape overall, so to do my changes I needed to design a clean model. Basic Shape and dimensions stay more or less the same. 

I did print it in ABS. Choose a material which has a good layer adhesion or you will get problems. It is also possible to insert a M8 threaded steel rod.

• made it work for bigger diameter spools
• re-made STEP file for the original diameter model
• hole is now 8.2mm in diameter
