If, like me, you have an FDM 3D printer, then you may well have heard of Gridfinity. Therefore, like me, you may well have an awful lot of 6x2mm magnets lying around that are slightly too shallow to make full contact with GW bases.

These bases should work perfectly, allowing 2mm magnets to make contact with whichever magnetic surface you are using for a stronger hold. The larger bases have multiple slots for multiple magnets, and the 130mm base has two extra slots for 10x2mm magnets, just for peace of mind.

If using superglue, use the tiniest amount possible, as the tolerance may then cause the magnet to protrude slightly.

Printing:
Use “Place on face” to print upside down. No supports needed, and they print pretty quickly.
