Introducing the Pentagon Plant Saucer, a geometric marvel designed to complement your potted plants with both beauty and functionality. Crafted with a keen eye on the aesthetics of classic terracotta style, it features a flat rim that exudes simplicity and perfection in its angles. The bottom is adorned with meticulously designed ribs, forming a captivating geometric pattern that's not just for show. These ribs play a crucial role in facilitating airflow, thus preventing stagnant moisture—a common enemy of plant health.

This saucer is tailored for a wide range of printers, accommodating nozzles of 0.4mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm sizes. The print recommendations are as follows:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Nozzle Size | 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm |
Layer Height | Adjust according to nozzle size |
Filament Materials | PETG recommended; PLA, ASA also suitable |
Perimeters | 2 or 3, based on your preference |
Infill | 15% |
The saucer is designed to print effectively with 0.4mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm nozzles, accommodating all wall thicknesses. Select a layer height appropriate for your nozzle size, and always review the sliced result before printing. Aim for the walls to be printed solely with perimeter lines, free of infill. For prints using a 0.4mm nozzle, consider increasing the number of perimeters to three or more for optimal results.
The models not only have different sizes, but also three side thicknesses. The side thickness also defines the thickness of the ribs, at the bottom of the saucer.
S17
(1.68mm): The thinnest variant is best suited for rigid filament. It is ok for smaller saucers, but definitely too weak for saucers matching pots equal or greater than 200mm in height.S20
(2.0mm): The medium thickness gives more stability and works well for soft materials like PETG. A good compromise, for medium sized indoor saucers and pots.S25
(2.5mm): My recommendation. This thickness provides excellent structural support for the sides and ribs of the saucer, even for very large prints. These prints withstand harsh outdoor conditions and heavy pots. The Pentagon Plant Saucers come in various sizes, accommodating a wide range of pot dimensions. The example filename LR2412-P5-S25-H040-D260.3mf
deciphers as follows:
P5
denotes the saucer's pentagon shape.S25
indicates a side thickness of 2.5mm, ensuring robustness.H040
specifies the saucer's height at 40mm.D260
represents the saucer's diameter, measuring 260mm from tip to tip.You can find the 3D models for this saucer under the "Files" tab, neatly organized into ZIP files based on file format for your convenience. Choose from STL, 3MF, or STEP files according to your preferences.
