I used to sell these on Etsy in almost every PETG color Prusa offered but it just became too much work and not enough profit. I was selling them for $30 USD for a set of 12 rings and a clip.
The material cost and print time weren't the issue. First layers, boogers, stringing, consumables (ie nozzles / heat breaks etc.), post process finishing and part quality was ultimately the killer. I experimented many different setting of printing to speed up or reduce cost but it still did not pan out. Every once and a while I would get a brittle batch of PETG from prusa which sucked too.
I have high standards and would not send out compromised rings. I sold about 178 sets of 12 rings per set. So when I think about it I handled over 2,400 individual rings before I got exhausted from it. Probably did not break even and had to pay taxes on the $2k I made that year.
