I have noticed that the stepper motor of the X-axis on my Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus gets veeeery hot, especially at print speeds above 200mm/s. To extend the lifespan of the stepper motor, it needs to be actively cooled.
I bought a 40mm 5V fan with USB cable and connected it directly to the printer (via USB hub). You only need minimum two screws to attach the fan to the mount.
This holder allows the fan to be mounted on the stepper motor without tools - just attach it and snap it into place. No rattling or shaking - it sits tight and nice! Removal is possible in the same way.
This holder is designed for the Elegoo Neptune 3 and 4 series X-axis stepper motors. I am pretty sure that this bracket will also fit other stepper motors. Please let me know!
I used https://www.printables.com/de/model/507450-40mm-turbine-fan-cover as the fan cover.
Printed in PETG with a layer height of 0.3 mm. 4 wall lines, 30% infill.
No supports required! (maximum 45° angles)
Do you like my work? I would be very happy if you would support my work on Ko-fi.
